About ‘The Opal Coast, Fort Ambleteuse’ by Guy Bostijn

We’re heading back home from ‘ "8 april 2026" zowat de zonnigste en warmste dag met zulke gemeten temperatuur. Voor mij dus hoog tijd om hiervan gretig gebruik van te maken en zeg nu zelf, wat is er nu nog leuker dan een daguitstap naar de Opaalkust! Voor mij is dit slechts anderhalf uurtje rijden dus vroeg vertrokken, vroeg, dat was om 3 hr in de morgen om ook de zonsopgang te beleven op het hoogste punt aan Cap Blanc Nez. Spectaculaire kleuren rijzen uit de zeespiegel, de geboorte van een prachtige dag! Van daaruit gretig gebruik gemaakt van de gele gekleurde koolzaadvelden die het landschap omtoveren in een mooi schilderij. De dag afgesloten in Ambleteuse, het dorpje gekend bij iedere toerist die het Fort Vauban wil gezien hebben. Zelf beschik ikover tal van beelden van daar, zomer, winter, storm enz... Dus was het hoogtijd om het Fort keer te vereeuwigen vanuit een andere hoek. Met de 85mm lens even alles uit de kast gehaald met een F1.2, machtig "beest". Er staat actueel een bouwstelling rond het Fort maar door het kleine diafragma kan je dit zelfs niet meer zien! De dag "afgehandeld" ’ with a nice, cold pint, where you can relive the day from behind your computer screen...

All-round photography with a preference for Urbex and street photography. The depiction of the past began with a vulgar visit to the village of Doel in Belgium and made the microbe strike in a world of unforced imperfections.

I work with Nikon D850 and Nikon D500, both of which are top-notch devices resulting in razor-sharp images. Also, all images are taken in RAW format, easily translated, I still have to "digitally develop" them myself. Just that makes…

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
