A proper camera lense will significantly increase this number by thousands such as in this picture. Though it is nowhere near the estimated amount of 300 billion stars in our galaxy alone. In this panorama picture shot in the Namibian desert you are looking in the length of our galaxy, known as the Milky Way. The brighter part is the centre of our galaxy. While we can see other galaxies, we can’t distinguish individual stars within them, meaning that every star you see is inside our own galaxy.
