About the artwork

The Burgemeester Waaijerbrug is a bicycle and pedestrian bridge on the west side of Zoetermeer and forms a The Burgemeester Waaijerbrug is a special connection between the Westerpark, the Buytenpark and a nature reserve the Nieuwe Driemanspolder. This bridge is also a link in regional cycling connections between the Zoetermeer parks and the Green Heart, Midden Delfland, the dune area and the Westland The bridge is composed of 38 corten steel components produced in Friesland. The unusual design is by architect Syb van Breda and TechConsult; together they formed the combination Hobbema 2.0. Completed in December 2013, the bridge is beautiful, easily accessible and a joy to photograph. Specially executed lighting and the rust-brown Corten steel, the play of lines, the graphics, the movement it makes combine to make the bridge a challenging subject. I have been there many times and will be there more often, because there is always different light or yet another shape reveals itself, which also makes it a great decoration in your modern interior. Tough steel in beautiful evening light.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
