Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘The Journey of the Young Fawn Albatross’ by Lex van Doorn

A beautifully detailed shot of a juvenile eyebrow albatross (Thalassarche melanophris) in full flight off the coast of Cape Town. The image shows the unique juvenile plumage and powerful wingspan of this ocean traveller, captured razor-sharp against the calm horizon of the South Atlantic. Albatrosses are Pegian birds and only come ashore for mating and breeding season. So they spend most of their lives hovering over the oceans at sea where they are particularly commonly seen behind fishing vessels. The brow albatross is unfortunately an endangered species.

Material recommendation: Choose High-Pressure Aluminium (Dibond) with a satin finish or Chromaluxe. This emphasises the technical perfection of the shot and the bright colours of the South African coast without disturbing reflections drowning out the details in the bird's white.
