About the artwork

What is traditionally a greater Rotterdam icon than De Hef? De Hef is the popular name of the Koningshavenbrug, a railway lift bridge over the Koningshaven in Rotterdam that has been decommissioned for rail traffic since 24 September 1993. The bridge was designed by engineer Pieter Joosting and opened on 31 October 1927. De Hef is now a National Monument, a monument commemorating the place where trains once left and entered Rotterdam city centre. Until 1994, De Hef was connected to the Willemsspoor bridge over the Nieuwe Maas, which in turn was connected to the air railway through Rotterdam city centre.

The characteristic Pentax photo camera with macro lens used and the photographer's skill also make the picture very suitable for sharp giant prints.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
