Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘The Eyes (are watching)’ by Marith Buma

This black-and-white artwork shows a series of hand-drawn eyes, each with its own shape and expression. The sketchy style and high contrast give the work a raw and direct feel. Surrounding the illustrations is the repeating text "The eyes", which reinforces the feeling of constantly watching and being watched.

The work is based on the idea that you can feel watched in public - as if eyes are on you everywhere, even at your back. The repetition of the eyes makes that uncomfortable, observing feeling tangible and recognisable.
