The bog bilberry, or Vaccinium uliginosum, is one of the two common blueberry species found in northern Europe.
The delicious fruits can be eaten raw or used to make jelly or pie.
In Lapland, a large part of the forest is covered with the small blueberry shrubs. The blue tone is perfectly embedded in the lush green foliage in this beautiful and iconic northern image.
