Horizontal photograph, Clair obscur, of a classic Teddy Bear with a small nude doll on a pile of old photographs.
The Teddy Bear is made in the tradition of Steiff and Schuco; as these brands did a century ago.
They worked with mohair, wool felt and straw.
This bear was made about 30 years ago by Henk van der Vrande. He used beautiful cinnamon-colored mohair of medium length for it. Black glass eyes and natural-colored wool felt. T he bear has a 'ruf' around his neck. T doll has 'googly eyes' as was fashionable for a time; think Betty Boop!
The old photos are largely instant postcards. Treasured memories from past lives that we look at with wonder.
Family and yet never seen,
And place in the attic where we rarely look....
