About the artwork

Sometimes a face tells more than words ever can. This portrait shows an intense moment of emotion, where soft and neutral shades of grey flow across the skin like tears. The subdued eyes, imbued with a melancholic gleam, seem to see through the viewer-open, vulnerable and at the same time full of strength. The soft greys with some pastel, merge into a dreamy, almost fluid scene.

This work is a reflection on emotion and impermanence. Inspired by the idea that feelings are not static, but rather flow along the soul like paint, the image plays with the boundary between reality and abstraction. The technique-a mix of hyperrealism and surrealist distortion-makes the work both intimate and elusive.

The mood is layered: soothing and comforting on the one hand through the soft colour transitions, and compelling and raw on the other through the intense gaze. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
