Still life cherry blossom in copper vase | Fine-art photography

by Manûah Pictures | Manuela van de Pol

Still life of cherry blossom branches standing in a copper vase. The blue velour rug beneath it enhances the colours in the picture and creates a warm atmosphere. The light and focus falls on the pink blossom in the vase. The whole picture is placed in front of a black background. The copper colour of the old vase also comes out beautifully this way.

This fine-art photo was taken with natural daylight from one side window. An atmospheric photo that radiates tranquillity.

This photo is number 2 from a series of 3 photos with these cherry blossom branches from our own garden. Very nice as a series together, but also fine as a stand-alone image.

The spring season stands for me as a period of blossoming. Nature, and often people too, are moving again. The buds on the trees slowly become flowers again, the days become longer and lighter, people go outside more.

I love the beautiful cherry blossom you see in many places at this time of year. That's also when you see a lot of pictures appearing on social media. The beautiful light pinks and whites that bloom exuberantly everywhere are eagerly captured by many. These twigs come from the (ornamental) cherry tree in my own garden. The tree changes with every season, I can never stop looking at it.

Looking for a nice setting and composition, I ended up with this old copper small vase. A perfect combination to complete this fine-art image.
