Shortly after moving to Bremen in Germany from Australia, I noticed how different the city was to my home town. Particularly the weather. Brisbane is always sunny and hot, with deep blue skies that stretch on forever. Bremen is almost always cloudy, and it rains every two days on average. I always felt like the cloud cover was like a lid on the city, a low grey blanket that if you stood on the roof of a building, you could reach up and touch it.
