The berling underground station Alexanderplatz has an iconic green-coloured interior, reminiscent of 1970s public pool changing rooms. Although the tiles were installed during a renovation after reunification in 1990, the styling of the colour contrasts with the iron pillars and decorative lighting which has more of an art-deco style, harking back to Weimar-era Berlin.
