Tablecloth, Maximiliaan van der Gucht (possibly), ca. 1650 - ca. 1675 tapestry weave in wool and silk, h 191.5cm × w 268.0cm Tablecloths with embroidered floral patterns were a speciality of some Dutch weaving mills. The Delft weaving mill of Maximiliaan van der Gucht was the most important in the northern Netherlands after 1650. The medallion in the centre depicts Flora, the Roman goddess of spring and flowers.
