Swimming Alligator
Alligators are reptiles from the larger group of crocodilians and semi-aquatic that live on land as well as in water, and are known to be excellent mystery hunters. Alligators are very well camouflaged; often black or dark grey in colour, pale yellow with numerous dark crossbones. The main distinguishing features of swimming alligators that I am even impressed with because of their artful patterns of body shape with colour shifts, from lighter to darker shades of their natural, the wide U-shaped snouts combined with the watercolour weaving of light yellow, white, grey, blue and black.
The overall colour combination and effects on the head, brought out by the sunlight requires the right creativity, to apply for a valuable and making this artwork perfect, which is best expressed through this self-designed mix medium art technique.
To create this work, I place the three-dimensional, photo-realistic sculptures made of papier-mâché on canvas, hard cardboard and then start painting with acrylic paint, work dimensions height 50 cm x width 70 cm x thickness 2.5 cm.
This art technique is well applicable, as the whole has a beautiful shape with really visible and tangible details, so that when viewing it, it is as if the characters stepped out of the panel, referring to my photorealistic, figurative feelings and love for Flora and Fauna, especially the contents of the Amazon.
