Sunset on the North Sea Canal
At sunset, the North Sea Canal near Velsen-Zuid forms an impressive backdrop where industry and nature come together. The blast furnaces dominate the horizon, while transfer cranes move slowly near the harbour. On the quay, a fisherman sits with a fishing rod, gazing calmly at the water, where the pound sails up and down between the banks. The glow of the setting sun reflects on the canal, giving the industrial landscape an almost serene look.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photographs, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.

Always on adventure and looking for industrial landscapes and details. And I do a lot of street photography. Walking through the streets, old villages and city centers.
I photograph mainly with an analogue Yashica 635 and a Ricoh AF 5.
