We were on the beach several hours before sunset. The light was harsh. This gave us more than enough time to pick a location for a more favorable time.
The water was subsiding. The patterns in the sand became quite visible. Here the sun sinks right between the rows of poles in the sea.
A warm and atmospheric image that we still like to think back to.
For these pictures different camera filters were used: a polarizing filter to reduce glare. And also a reverse grad to compensate for the bright sunlight.
Even on almost cloudless days, the sky colors beautifully. Water vapor and dust in the air are responsible for this.
