About "Sunrise on Diamond Beach, Iceland"

About the artwork

Some places feel almost otherworldly - and Diamond Beach in Iceland is the best example of this as far as I am concerned. This photo shows how clear ice, carved out by time and the sea, sparkles like precious gems on the jet-black sand. As the sun rises, the ice floes catch the first light, creating a surreal spectacle of colour and reflection. The moment I took this shot, everything felt magically still for a moment: the sea slowly retreated, leaving behind patterns you only see like this once in a lifetime.

The inspiration for this photo comes from my fascination with the contrast between cold ice and warm light, between stillness and movement. I deliberately chose a slow shutter speed so that the water curls around the ice like a veil and the atmosphere becomes even more dreamy. It is still a special feeling to be standing here - you realise how powerful and fragile nature can be at the same time.

This work brings a unique blend of calm and energy to any interior. It is perfect for anyone who loves adventure, natural beauty and surprising contrasts. With this picture, you bring a piece of Icelandic magic into your home that continues to surprise every day.

About Roy Poots

In 2009 Roy Poots bought his very first SLR camera, a Canon EOS 450D. After having photographed everything for a while, he realised that he liked landscapes, architecture and (nocturnal) cityscapes the most by far. Since then, he has devoted himself to these subjects.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
