Dead beaches as far as the eye can see, a sun rising a second time over the vast dunes of Les Landes in southern France and the thin morning clouds heralding the start of a warm summer day. The early morning still offers a fresh beach underfoot but as soon as you reach the tide line you feel the warmth of the ocean mid-July. A perfect way to start the day.
