About ‘Sunbeams over the Rofental valley’ by Marcel Hechler

It was still early in the morning in the Rofental valley near Vent when I paused briefly and looked back once more at the path I had left behind. The sun had now climbed over the ridge and was already a little higher in the sky – no longer a timid first light, but a clear, warm glow breaking through the clouds and falling into the valley in broad bands.

At that moment, I saw a light cloud slowly drifting up the slope. It settled like a delicate veil over the stony valley floor and caught the light coming down from above. I wanted to capture this atmosphere before it vanished again.

In the foreground, the narrow path winds its way through the mountain meadow, past scattered boulders; to the right, the slope drops down towards the stream in coarse scree. The eye is drawn naturally along the path towards the back, towards the light.

For me, the picture tells a story of setting out – of that moment shortly after setting off, when the day still lies wide open before you. It brings a sense of space and a warm, encouraging light into a room. Above the sofa, in the hallway or in the study, it acts like a window to the outside world, inviting you to set off.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
