Sunbeams filtering through bare trees

by Henk Egbertzen

A group of gnarled, bare trees stands in a field. The sun is just breaking through the clouds and shooting bright rays through the branches. The mist on the ground catches the light, creating a magical glow.

-
The trees are old and gnarled. Their branches look like arms reaching towards the sky. Not a leaf in sight, but that is precisely what gives them such character. They have stood the test of time.

- The light is the real subject. It comes from behind, making the trees stand out as dark silhouettes against the golden sky. The sun’s rays draw long lines across the scene.

- The mist hangs low above the ground. It softens the colours of the heathland and the vegetation, lending the image a mysterious, tranquil atmosphere. It’s as if you’ve got lost somewhere and suddenly come across this scene.

- The style is purely photographic. No filters, no tricks. What you see is what the camera saw, at the right moment, in the right place. The magic lies in the natural light and the rugged, untamed beauty of nature. - This piece would look good in a living room, hall or office. For those who love mystical landscapes. For those seeking a powerful, natural image.
