About ‘Storm at Breskens’ by Sander Poppe

The coast of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, near Breskens, is an exceptional place where the North Sea meets the Westerschelde estuary. Especially during autumn, when the first autumn storms rage across the Zeeland landscape, nature shows its most impressive side here. On one of those stormy days in 2021, I stood with my family at the head of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, where the raging waves pound against the breakwaters and the wind has free rein.

The highest point of the storm had just passed, but conditions were perfect for a spectacular seaside spectacle. The dramatic cloudscapes, splashing water and the power of nature come together beautifully at this spot. This not only provides impressive images for photographers, but also makes for an unforgettable experience for visitors. The combination of fresh sea air, the rugged landscape and the impressive sound of the surf make a visit to Breskens in autumn extra special.

Breskens is loved not only by nature lovers, but also by families who want to enjoy wind, water and the vast beach together. A walk during or after a storm offers a unique view of the splendour and power of Zeeland's coast.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
