The Strokkur is a geyser, which is located about 30 m from the famous 'Geysir'. This geyser was reactivated during drilling operations in 1963. Although he doesn't spray as high as his brother in his best days, the Strokkur is still very promising. It sends up a jet of water of 10 to 20 metres in more or less regular intervals (4 to 8 minutes), making it an important tourist attraction.
