About the artwork

Northwest of the Selketal valley between Hasselfelde and Güntersberge you will find the Harz village of Stiege. The two lakes in the centre of the village are a special feast for the eyes. The landmark of the village, which is well over 1,000 years old, is Stiege Castle. In the 18th century, a timber-framed church was built, which still characterises this tranquil ensemble above Lake Stiege. Stiege Castle is one of the lesser-known castles from ancient times in the Harz, although it is one of the few surviving buildings from the early High Middle Ages. Situated on the southern slope of the Lower Harz, there was a very early settlement on an old path to the Harz crossing long before Charlemagne. The name of the settlement and later of the castle was probably derived from this "Stieg". It is assumed that the castle was built during the reign of Henry I around 919. At that time, it was used as a hunting lodge or as a place to stay when crossing the Harz.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
