Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Steps to the White City’ by Steve Henderson

Gleaming white, Ostuni, Italy, sits atop a hilltop, attracting the eyes of mile around with its whitewashed buildings glowing under the Mediterranean sun.

Walking through the historic town is a matter of climbing steps upward or picking one's way downwards, and along the way, friendly community cats sit outside of doorways and lick themselves, stopping -- if they feel like it -- to watch your progress as you stroll by.

The artwork, Steps to the White City, invites you to traverse these steps on a perfect autumn day: it's not too hot under the clear blue sky, and there's absolutely no hurry to rush to the top because, if you continue to take one step at a time, whether slowly or quickly, you will eventually get there.
