High in the sky is our round moon. This work is a construction of several photographs. I kept editing until I had that deep blue and the foggy, blurry of the Milky Way. You can also see millions of stars in it. Don't go with your binoculars comparing this image to reality, because it is not an image of reality. It is an image born from my brain. An amalgamation of gazing at the firmament hundreds of times, mixed with my idea of how I experience the universe with its round moon. What also comes into play is my memory of the painting the Starry Night, by Vincent van Gogh. His deep blue in that work has been my model.
Of course, this work is ideal for the bedroom, in a place where you can look at it from your bed before you go to sleep. It might help for a moment to stop all thoughts and just look, maybe let yourself be carried into space, the empty space, where nothing has to happen.
