Tips for use
  • Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

This is the abandoned Bedugul Taman hotel in the highlands of Bali, better known as the Ghost Palace.

It was never actually a hotel. Construction started in the early 1990s, backed by Tommy Suharto, son of Indonesia's then president. Tommy was later convicted of an eleven million dollar land scam, and while trying to escape…
