About the artwork

The cathedral basilica St. Bavo is the cathedral of the diocese Haarlem-Amsterdam. The church is located in the Houtvaartkwartier district. Founded by Bishop Caspar Bottemanne, this Haarlem church was designed in eclectic and neo-Romanesque style[1] by architect Joseph Cuypers, son of Pierre Cuypers, in the late nineteenth century[2].

The church is dedicated to Saint Bavo, the city's patron saint, whose worship originated in Ghent with which Haarlem had a trading relationship. Construction began in 1895 and was completed in 1930. On 2 May 1948, the Sint Bavokerk was elevated to basilica by Pope Pius XII.[3] The cathedral basilica Sint Bavo is the second Roman Catholic church in the Netherlands by size (after the Sint-Janskathedraal in Den Bosch).

In 2019, the name of the church was renamed KoepelKathedraal, to avoid confusion with the Grote or St.-Bavokerk in the centre of Haarlem as much as possible.[4] Under this name, the church goes public with a combination of church function and cultural activities. The activities are organised by the St Bavo Cathedral Basilica Foundation, a foundation that was created for the preservation, maintenance and functioning of the building.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
