A beautiful spring morning in the Green Heart of the Netherlands. Originally, this location was an extension of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie (New Dutch Waterline) built during the First World War. Prior to the Second World War, the line was further extended and fortified but in the end no shots have ever been fired here. Today it is a beautiful landscape where in spring the old fruit trees blossom and the yellow rapeseed flowers exuberantly overgrow the former trenches.
