About the artwork

The Ronde Lutherse Kerk or New Lutheran Church is a former Lutheran church on the Singel in Amsterdam. Since 1975, the monument, which was destroyed by fire several times, has served as a venue for large gatherings at a hotel.

The Round Lutheran Church was built in 1668-1671 as the second and thus "new" Lutheran Church, after the Old Lutheran Church had become too small due to the many Lutheran immigrants. The architect was Adriaan Dortsman. Because the Lutherans were forbidden to build a church tower, they built a domed church. The Lutheran swan was depicted in the small tower on the dome, called the lantern.

The interior has a monumental character. It is (despite the rebuilding in 1826) the most Baroque building from the seventeenth century in the Netherlands. The style could be characterized as classicistic.

The Lutherans left the church in 1935. After the closure it was used for concerts. In 1975 the church was taken over by the hotel opposite. An underground tunnel was constructed, through which hotel guests can now enter the hall, which now serves as a conference hall and concert hall. The organ underwent a thorough restoration in 1984. Today the church is used as a venue for all kinds of events, ranging from meetings to weddings, live television shows and gala dinners.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
