The day starts early on the Eastern Scheldt . From Colijnsplaat , on beautiful North Beveland , I look out over the still water. There, in the distance, rises the imposing Zeeland Bridge. The sun slowly creeps up and appears right next to one of the bridge pillars - a moment that happens only once a day.
With my camera on a tripod and a slow shutter speed set, the water turns into a silky mirror. The clouds slide by slowly, the movement giving them their picturesque streaks. The aperture is a little higher, turning the sun into a tiny, perfect star, caught between the lines of concrete and steel.
The world is silent - just the soft sound of the sea and the click of the shutter. Here, on the edge of North Beveland , you really come to rest. It is not just any photo you take; it is a memory of that one serene moment when nature and technology meet. Pure magic on the Oosterschelde , where every sunrise tells a unique story.
