About the artwork

A silhouette of a person sits on a waterfront bench surrounded by a lush forest. The trees lean towards him, as it were, but his gaze is downwards - caught in the glow of his smartphone. The colours of the forest are rich and vibrant, but the figure itself is dark, almost transparent. The message is subtle but clear: even in the midst of beauty, we often lose the ability to really see.

The inspiration for this work comes from the modern paradox of connection: the more digitally connected we are, the more distant we sometimes become from the world around us. Nature, a symbol of peace and restoration, is here the silent backdrop for human absence.

The style combines thick black outlines with deep greens and relief-like brushstrokes, giving the painting an almost comic book-like yet melancholic character.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
