About the artwork

The picture shows a window in a room facing the viewer. It is open and allows rays of light to stream into the room. The bricks of the frame and the curtain that adorns the window emphasise the connection between the inside of the room and the outside world. The curtains, which are gently moved by the wind, add a touch of movement to the picture, reflecting the lightness and freshness of nature outside. The brightness of the light coming through the window emphasises the plant life and the soft grass that stretches beneath the trees. This scenery conveys a sense of peace, as if the space and nature merge together and form a harmonious whole.
