These photos were taken with a so called ND filter to be able to work with long shutter speeds giving the water a silky effect.
Recreation area Geestmerambacht consists of a large pond surrounded by a park-like landscape with woods, lawns, reedbeds and orchid meadows.
Plant species such as the cuckoo flower, comfrey, marsh milk thistle, whole leaves and orchids grow in the area. Scottish Highlanders graze there. Bird species such as the buzzard, spotted woodpecker, sparrowhawk and marsh harrier as well as wigeons, table ducks and sawbills are regularly observed.
