"Shades of brown: A lantern of the lantern plant" is a picture of a lantern of the lantern plant that is already almost digested. The skeleton of the veins can be seen beautifully as a result. The brown-beige background shows the reflection of the lantern. Among other things, the brown natural colours give the whole a peaceful look.
The colours remind me of some old-fashioned (vintage) colours and autumn: brown (beige, taupe) is the most common colour in the picture.
If you zoom in on the work and look at the beige-brown lantern, you can nicely see the texture that stands out beautifully in the light against a dark background. With the shadow, this is exactly reversed, here the dark brown markings of the veins stand out beautifully against the lighter background.
