This work captures the quiet power of weathered matter, where layers of blue, grey and sand colour merge into an almost cosmic landscape. The texture resembles metal scarred by sun, salt and time - a skin full of stories. In the soft light of Sejnane, a village in northern Tunisia, the surface seems to breathe: cool in tone but deeply charged with memory.
The inspiration for this work came during my exploration of old studios and workshops in Tunisia, where traces of labour and weathering reveal an unexpected beauty. The blue refers to the sky above the hills of Sejnane, while the sand-coloured surface is reminiscent of earth once glowing with fire.
"Sejnene Blue" exudes stillness and strength at the same time. It evokes a sense of introspection - as if looking at the traces of time inside yourself. The mix of cold and warm tones reflects the tension between vulnerability and resilience.
The digital processing enhances the layering and the play between light and texture, making the surface almost tangible.
In an interior, this work brings tranquillity and depth. It is an anchor point that invites you to stop, feel and remember that beauty often arises where time has left its mark.
