About the artwork

(Photo of a) charcoal drawing of a miracle of nature: seed box of a kurrajong tree. What touched me about this beautiful seed box of 12 cm long is the atmosphere of intimacy, softness, covering and protection.

Brachychiton populneus, commonly known as the kurrajong, is a tree found naturally in Australia. Sometimes B. populneus is also known by the names 'lacebark kurrajong' and 'bottle tree'.

Kurrajong trees will survive bush fires and harsh droughts as they store water in their trunk.

The kurrajong has multiple uses and was used by many Australian Aboriginal clans and tribes around Australia. The seeds located in a seed pod were often removed and cleaned of the fine hairs within the seed pod and were often roasted. There are also records of the seedpods being turned into a children's rattle or toy.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
