While visiting a market in Florence in Piazza del Carmine in the San Frediano district, I shot a picture from the loose. I found this photo to have an interesting and dynamic composition 'because of the crooked lines'. I decided to repaint the photo with acrylic paint on canvas.
What particularly appealed to me were the green-coloured window shutters, the summery ochre yellow colour of the building, the large round dome of the Parrochie San Frediano in Cestello with a cross on top and the soft cloudy sky.
