A Mixed Media artwork on paper, made with collage of magazine paper combined with acrylic paint.
Arranged on top of each other in such a way that a deeply layered whole is created. The background consists of 4 to 5 layers. Many small details, such as small letters, can be discovered and become clearly visible when printed in large format.
The inspiration for this work of art is of course the coming summer season, but also the memory of the beautiful holidays with the three children of db Waterman. Summer holidays with lots of sun, sea and swimming pools. 
The inspiration for this technique are the torn posters and peeling paint on old city walls. For many people a sign of neglect and decay, but for db Waterman a source of inspiration.
                                
 
                                I remembered that as a young girl I so much liked to cut images from magazines to paste them into school agendas, scrapbooks and even on my bedroom door.
