About ‘Run for your life; stone runners on the beach’ by Bep van Pelt- Verkuil
Stone-walkers are very agile birds that are constantly running for food that washes ashore on the beach. They have been photographed here with the technique of 'panning'. The camera is slightly moved along with the animals. Some birds are then sharp; others are a vague shadow. This makes it easy to capture the speed.
