About the artwork

In the soft evening light, the rowing boat lies quietly bobbing in Procida's harbour, a silent witness to the transition from day to night. The photograph, minimalist in nature, shows only half of the boat slowly rocking back and forth on the calm water. The warm, brown tones of the wood perfectly reflect the golden light filling the sky, while the water catches the last bit of sunlight. It almost seems as if time stood still for a moment here.

The simplicity of the scene puts you in a meditative state, where you can fully feel the serenity of the moment. Night has set in, but the serene silence of the harbour gives a sense of calm, as if the whole world has withdrawn for a moment to unwind. The curving lines of the rowboat, only partly visible, enhance the minimalist beauty of the image. There are no crowds, no people, just the quiet presence of the boat which, like so many elements in Procida, is a symbol of the simple but rich life on the island.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
