About ‘Rotterdam on the Meuse’ by Thuur Kurvers

Rotterdam as you’d like to see it. From a high vantage point, you look out over the Maas, with the city’s imposing skyline in the background. On the right of the picture stands the iconic Wereldmuseum, formerly the Hotel New York, with its distinctive round tower. A bright yellow waterbus glides past on the water, a typical Rotterdam scene.

What makes this work so powerful is the combination of movement and tranquillity. The city bustles in the background, whilst the water and the blue sky create a serene atmosphere. Note also the small green island in the middle of the river, a surprising patch of greenery in the heart of the urban landscape.

Rotterdam is a city that never stands still, always building and always looking ahead. That sense of energy and ambition is present in every detail of this work. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
