This expressive rose composition combines the natural beauty of a fully opened bloom with a modern, painterly visual style. The rose takes centre stage, surrounded by several buds, stylised leaves and gentle reflections of light. Loose brushstrokes, geometric fragments and soft bokeh effects lend the motif a special depth, allowing reality and artistic interpretation to blend harmoniously.
The artwork is based on my own photograph of a rose, which was subsequently transformed into a digital painting with the aid of AI. It was important not only to preserve the shape of the flower, but also to capture its vitality and elegance using a modern, expressive painting technique. The visible brushstrokes and abstract elements lend the work a contemporary character, without allowing the rose’s natural grace to fade into the background.
The warm shades of rosé, cream and berry are complemented by fresh shades of green and turquoise, creating a harmonious, tranquil atmosphere. The soft light in the background is reminiscent of a sunny morning in the garden and conveys a sense of hope, lightness and transience – a quiet moment that captures the beauty of the instant.
This artwork is particularly well-suited to modern living rooms, bedrooms or stylish workspaces. It combines floral elegance with contemporary digital painting and serves as a tasteful focal point that works equally well in both minimalist and classic interiors.
I find my motifs everywhere in nature, on journeys as well as on my own doorstep in beautiful Schleswig-Holstein. I have also lost my heart to animal photography.
