About the artwork

There is always something going on in the harbor and I love going there. Especially for a photographer it is a very nice and interesting place.
There are several boats and ships, there are always beautiful reflections in the water and everywhere you find special parts and details.
Also the numerous colors, shapes and structures invite you to take pictures of them. Photos of the new parts of ships are beautiful but the used, weathered parts are even more interesting.
This detail shot of a fishing vessel shows beautiful red colored metal with various ropes tied to the metal.
As a background you see the rippling water in beautiful shades of blue with a reflection of another ship. In this reflection, the same color red returns.
The sunlight in this photo creates a special lighting effect and gives the metal a beautiful sheen.
This summery picture gives me a feeling of freedom, of vacation and of peace. Peace and quiet that you experience when you sail over the water.
Location: the old harbor of Ouddorp, Goeree Overflakkee, the Netherlands.
