This watercolour is an abstraction in which colour, planes, softness in light and dark, loose brushstrokes combine in my mind to create a rolling landscape.
I find the beauty of an abstract image , that everyone can see their own image in it, that it gives a certain freedom, which I like. Nothing is imposed where looking in your own way is encouraged.
Do you like it, what appeals to you, what catches your eye and what do you see , what does it do to you etc..
The surprise , what someone else sees in it differently from me, I find interesting and fascinating. There is no right or wrong in that as far as I am concerned.
To me, this reclining image also has a kind of softness, as if dew or mist is moving across the landscape.
Despite the movement with which the brushstrokes
are made, I also experience peace
and softness with this watercolour.
Yellow is not necessarily a colour I often choose , but in this colour combination it appeals to me.
