On display at the Frans Hals museum in Haarlem, these were five administrators of the Elisabeths Gasthuis. Some objects on the table, such as an inkstand and book, point to their administrative duties. The regents are dignified and serious people. Their clothing is sober black, befitting their function in a charitable institution. This is the first Haarlem regent piece. Pictured are Siewert Sem Warmont, Salomon Cousaert, Johan van Clarenbeeck, Dirck Dirckz Del and François Wouters. They were regents from 1638 onwards.
