About the artwork

Quito in Ecuador, one of the larger cities on our planet. For my work, I come here sometimes and then, of course, my camera comes along. In advance, I find out from where I can best take a picture of this city. A good location with a nice overview of the city is from the "Panecillo Lookout".

This is located on an elevation, against the old city centre. Only from here can you see how hugely populated and vast this city is. For this photo of one of the city's famous "landmarks", the "Basilica del Voto National", I had specially brought a good zoom lens.

This compresses the city, as it were, and adds to the sense of bustle. This day, the weather was kind to me, I was there early in the morning because that's when you often have the most beautiful and soft light.

After a number of shots I was done here, and had myself dropped off at the "Basilica", to take a few shots from inside there as well. For a small fee, you can also go up to the roof of the church from where you also have a nice view of the city.

Eventually, it was nice and I went back to my hotel. There I sorted out the shots that I will edit at home to make them suitable for the wall.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
