Quintus Kampen by Night – Historical Heritage in the Spotlight by Fotografiecor .nl

This night-time photograph captures the imposing, soaring façade of one of Kampen’s most striking historic buildings. By using a slow shutter speed, the atmospheric evening light surrounding the building has been captured, bringing the architectural details of the historic façade to life in an almost tactile way. The tranquillity of the evening hour emphasises the grandeur of this building, which has a rich history as a civic orphanage and military accommodation, and today serves as the beating heart of Kampen’s cultural institution: Quintus.

As a photographer in the region, I never cease to be fascinated by capturing the layered history of buildings such as Quintus. This building is more than just stone and brickwork; it is a silent witness to Kampen’s history. The blue evening light, combined with the warm accents of artificial lighting, creates a cinematic atmosphere that does justice to the creative energy that pervades this building today. It is a moment of reflection on how our city honours its past by giving it an active, creative future.

Thanks to its stately, vertical character, this image is ideally suited to spaces where a sense of height or elegance is desired. It is shown to its best advantage as a fine-art print on brushed aluminium or behind acrylic glass, which accentuates the deep textures of the brickwork and the contrast of the evening light. A perfect choice for both a sleek office interior and an atmospheric living environment.

Add a touch of historic Kampen to your own collection. Order your fine-art print of this iconic building today and enjoy the timeless atmosphere of Quintus on your wall.
