A watercolour of a purple-blue slipper plant. It is painted negative which means that the underlying leaves are darker creating depth It is painted in transparent layers. The upper leaves and flowers are light and edged with dark paint making them stand out even more. The sunlight shines on the flower and petals and makes them shine . The painting gives a lovely summer feeling.
