The puffin is a seabird and is also called the clown of seabirds because of its colored beak. These birds live at sea most of the year, but in the spring they come ashore. They do so en masse by the thousands.
This photo was taken on a small island in Wales where 30 to 40,000 puffins congregate in the spring. There they lay their eggs in small burrows under the ground.
Despite the hustle and bustle, there are also moments of peace and quiet. Like this puffin enjoying a moment between the flowers.
Photography for me is a way to tell stories. To let people be amazed and inspired, by big and small things you encounter in nature. A passion with which I want to convey a piece of love for nature.
