About ‘Primary’ by Dolm

'Primary' is an abstract artwork, mainly in primary colours, in a style inspired by the work of mid-century artists. The depiction is open to multiple interpretations. One viewer sees a battle for survival between micro-organisms, where another sees a stylised miner.

The sculpture was created out of love for Joan Miró's art. This always seems simple, but it is not. For this work of art, too, it was not easy to arrive at a powerful narrative abstraction. It took several days for the artist (Harry Wibier) to arrive at these forms. He created the original artwork using acrylic paint on canvas. It measures 20 by 30 centimetres and has hung in its creator's living room for several years. This digital reproduction is from 2025.

The title 'Primary' refers not only to the colours, but also to the motives of the depicted object. This is a work of art about survival. At the same time, it is nimble - yes, almost spontaneous and cheerful - because of the smooth touch and bright colours. By the way, each colour appears only once in a plane. Only black and white can be seen in several places.

'Primary' is a real conversation piece. You will find that guests comment on it and that you can exchange thoughts about the performance for a long time. At the same time, it adds a cheerful note to any interior.

Dolm is the studio of Harry Wibier. Among other things, he likes to be inspired by prehistory. Hence, you sometimes recognise cave drawings or dolmens in his work. At the same time, he seeks the connection with the here and now. Hence his motto: "Ancient magic in modern art."

Harry does not have a set method or way of working. He prefers to experiment. That way, he keeps surprising himself and his audience. He has, however, developed a passion for ink lines…

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
